Fume extraction and purification systems

Flue gas cleaning is a critical environmental and industrial process that reduces the amount of pollutants released by burning fossil fuels such as natural gas, wood, oil, and coal. This process helps maintain local and regional air quality and plays an important role in meeting national clean air standards by controlling emissions.

Multicyclones

It is very important to understand that due to the large amount of smoke emitted by technological facilities, the pollutants in these gases are measured in tons. In the absence of treatment facilities, all pollutants will enter the atmosphere and the human body through inhaled air or food grown near manufacturing plants, water and many other ways.

The greatest harm to human health is caused by particles smaller than 10 microns and especially particles smaller than 2.5 microns (called PM10 and PM2.5, respectively). PM10 particles are small enough to settle deep in the respiratory system, while PM2.5 can enter the bloodstream directly after passing through the respiratory system. For this reason, multicyclones play a very important role.

From an environmental point of view, particles entering the atmosphere contribute to the formation of smog. Smaller particles remain in the atmosphere for many months. Therefore, it is necessary to remove these particles from the gas stream before releasing it into the environment.

Multicyclones are used to remove particles from a gas stream by creating a counterflow cyclonic vortex. Multicyclones operate equally efficiently at various flow rates and pressures. Solid or liquid particles in the gas stream enter multicyclones with greater inertia than gas molecules.

As the gas flow rotates, centrifugal force causes the particles to hit the wall of the cyclone, where the solid particles fall to the bottom of the cyclone, and the droplets merge and, when they reach sufficient size, also fall due to their own weight.

Multicyclones are installed between the hot water boiler and the draft fan.

Electrostatic filters

The flue gas is cleaned of solid particles by an electrostatic filter. An electrostatic filter consists of a chamber containing an electric field.

Flue gas enters the filter housing through the inlet nozzle. As the flue gas flows through the filter or filter chamber, the particles acquire an electric charge, and under the influence of electric forces, they settle on the collection plates where a layer of dust is formed. After this process, the gas leaves the filter through the discharge nozzle.

At certain intervals, special devices shake the dust accumulations, which allows them to fall on the flat bottom and then be removed from the filter.

Flue gas ventilators

A flue gas ventilator is a device used to extract flue gases from combustion systems and is a very important part of an industrial system. The system can have several gas fume fans, depending on the required system parameters and overall layout.

The design and manufacture of gas flue gas ventilators is carried out with extreme precision and using the highest quality materials.
