Multiphase pumps

Areas of use and transported liquids

EDUR multiphase pumps are used in water supply and sewage systems, as well as in various industrial technologies. Typical applications include flotation plants, ozonation, water treatment, water/crude oil separation, fuel production and general process technology. Multiphase pumps deliver gas-liquid mixtures and enrich liquids with gases such as air, oxygen or ozone.

Functionality

The hydraulic system of the pump differs in its design and operating principle from conventional centrifugal pumps, and thus allows operation on the suction side in a suppressed mode without causing cavitation, which is very important when using standard centrifugal pumps. Gas proportions up to 30% are self-priming and safely fed together. In addition, these pumps guarantee dynamic mixing and excellent gas saturation.

Variants of multiphase EDUR pumps

Multiphase pumps are also called flotation pumps, DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) pumps or (gas) saturation pumps. EDUR series multiphase pumps have PBU and LBU. They are available in a variety of design styles and materials such as cast iron, bronze or stainless steel, as well as a variety of shaft sealing systems and gear solutions. If required, we provide individual configurations and also provide all certificates and required test reports.

Advantages

Installing EDUR multiphase pumps eliminates the need for expensive compressor systems, pressure vessels, control units, valves and associated maintenance costs. In a partial flow process, gas liquids can be fed directly to the pump. The special, open and non-axial thrust impeller of these pumps guarantees efficient process design.

Like all EDUR pumps, multiphase pumps stand out for their efficiency, economy and reliability. In addition, we would like to emphasize the following advantages and technical characteristics of the product:

  • Gasification of liquids and transport of gasified liquids, e.g. with air or ozone
  • Direct gas supply to the suction line
  • Dynamic mixing
  • Excellent gas saturation
  • Excellent dispersion with bubble sizes between 30 and 50 μm after expansion
  • Optimized pressure nozzle size for low pipe friction losses and velocity differential

Liquefied gas pumps

Areas of use and transported liquids

LPG pumps are required for unloading, refueling, pumping and filling processes. The liquefied gas pump has high requirements: large pressure differences, low NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head) values, low pulsation delivery, low noise emission and ATEX compliance. Users of SDS pumps expect safe mixture delivery, elimination of flue gas and vapor pressure fluctuations, and high pump efficiency. The pump's efficiency level results in low energy consumption, lower drive requirements and relatively compact dimensions.

EDUR LPG pumps are used in various stages of the transportation process - in factory tanks, tank trucks, in the refrigeration, beverage and processing industries, as well as in shipbuilding. The pumps ensure the safe distribution of liquefied gas throughout the process from production to the end user. EDUR pumps are especially used to supply liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) such as butane, propane and their derivatives.

Variants of LPG EDUR pumps

LPG pumps are often referred to as LPG pumps, CNG pumps, CO2 pumps or tank truck pumps. The EDUR line of liquefied gas pumps consists of the LB, NH and S series. Modular pumps can be of various designs and manufactured using different materials such as spheroidal graphite or stainless steel, as well as with different shaft sealing systems and drive solutions (explosion-proof motors or hydraulic drives).

If necessary, we deliver customized configurations to the customer. We also provide all certificates and required test reports.

Advantages

Like all EDUR pumps, liquefied gas pumps stand out for their efficiency, economy and reliability. In addition, we would like to highlight the following advantages and technical characteristics of the product:

Magnetically coupled pumps

Areas of use and transported liquids

Magnetically coupled EDUR pumps are often used in cooling, liquefied gas transportation, energy, as well as general industrial technology. They are used to supply pure or slightly contaminated liquids, but they are particularly suitable for the supply of toxic, environmentally hazardous and explosive liquids, as well as for use at high temperatures.

The torque of the motor is transmitted to the pump shaft thanks to the force of the magnetic field. The "can" hermetically separates the inside of the pump from the outside. The pump shaft bearing is made of plain bearings with medium lubrication. This prevents leakage that could otherwise occur with conventional shaft seals.

Variants of magnetically coupled EDUR pumps

Magnetically coupled pumps are often referred to as "hermetic pumps". The EDUR series of these pump designs include the PBM, LBM, NHM and NMBL series. In addition, the EDUR modular design of these pumps provides maximum flexibility in the choice of pump configuration. Pumps are produced in various designs and using various materials (cast iron, spheroidal graphite, bronze or stainless steel), and various drive solutions are also available.

If required, we deliver customer-tailored configurations (for example, an additional housing insulation monitoring system). Of course, we can also provide all certificates and required test reports.

Advantages

Like all EDUR pumps, magnetically coupled pumps stand out for their efficiency, economy and reliability. In addition, we would like to highlight the following advantages and features of the product:

  • High energy efficiency due to low loss/lossless magnetic couplings
  • Hermetic sealing
  • Inspection of the entire pump unit
  • Low wear
  • High operational safety
  • Long service life
  • ATEX compliant design available
