Areas of use and transported liquids
EDUR multiphase pumps are used in water supply and sewage systems, as well as in various industrial technologies. Typical applications include flotation plants, ozonation, water treatment, water/crude oil separation, fuel production and general process technology. Multiphase pumps deliver gas-liquid mixtures and enrich liquids with gases such as air, oxygen or ozone.
Functionality
The hydraulic system of the pump differs in its design and operating principle from conventional centrifugal pumps, and thus allows operation on the suction side in a suppressed mode without causing cavitation, which is very important when using standard centrifugal pumps. Gas proportions up to 30% are self-priming and safely fed together. In addition, these pumps guarantee dynamic mixing and excellent gas saturation.
Variants of multiphase EDUR pumps
Multiphase pumps are also called flotation pumps, DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) pumps or (gas) saturation pumps. EDUR series multiphase pumps have PBU and LBU. They are available in a variety of design styles and materials such as cast iron, bronze or stainless steel, as well as a variety of shaft sealing systems and gear solutions. If required, we provide individual configurations and also provide all certificates and required test reports.
Advantages
Installing EDUR multiphase pumps eliminates the need for expensive compressor systems, pressure vessels, control units, valves and associated maintenance costs. In a partial flow process, gas liquids can be fed directly to the pump. The special, open and non-axial thrust impeller of these pumps guarantees efficient process design.
